As a man, father and husband I have learnt so much about life and as a result never take for granted that every day is a gift from God. We should always try to make the most of every opportunity presented to us in each circumstance no matter where you find yourself. My footer email says, ‘you cannot change your past but you can change your future’. How you view yourself impacts how you view others.
Having a trade background as a fitter and turner then branching into a Quality management role before doing some sales background has helped me to connect with a wide range of people across many walks of life from people on the street to senior government personnel.
My heart is for people, particularly those who may not be in a position to help themselves and need hope in difficult circumstances.
This is why I dedicated my life to serving others in recent times through the Black Saturday bushfires working alongside survivors connecting them back to local community by finding how to best meet their present needs. As a result of working with men suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and having several close friends commit suicide I decided to undertake 2 years of counsellor training to better equip me to help others find the right tools. I believe that men need to rise to the challenge of discovering themselves and finding the tools to better equip them to be the best they can be in life across home, work and leisure.
Jesus as a man said, ‘I have come that they may have life and have it to the full’ (John 10:10).
This is my desire, that the mens ministry at Uni Hill church will help to connect men, build lasting friendships and strengthen each mans walk with God.
Do you want more to life? Then come along and be part of something that has eternal significance.
